Aquafil S.p.A., based in Italy, is a vertically integrated recycler and producer of nylon yarns that are used by textile, carpet, and clothing manufacturers. The company also produces polymers with application in the industrial molding, extrusion and compounding. Aquafil Group stands out for being one of the early players to commercialize a circular economy business model and has emerged as a leading manufacturer of synthetic fibers and polymers, including Nylon 6, Nylon 6.6 and Dryarn. During 2022, the company generated nearly €700M in topline revenues.
The company’s flagship product is ECONYL® nylon, which is manufactured from 100% nylon waste and is infinitely recyclable.

History of the company
Giulio Bonazzi, has been Aquafil’s Group CEO since 2001. He first joined the firm in 1987 and has dedicated his career to evolving Aquafil S.p.A. into a leading player in the global carpet and textile materials industry.

This achievement confirms the commitment to the environmental benefits of ‘The Circular Economy’ which aims to achieve a negligible assessment of the ESG risk level by 2025.
